Eccleshall Past

Based on the premise that yesterday is also past we hope to fill this site with photographs of people and places that form part of Eccleshall's past. Not just famous or well known people but ordinary people who's lives are woven into the Eccleshall story. If you have any photographs which fall into that category which you would let us borrow and return please do so. There has been a settlement on this site for many hundreds of years and much of it has been documented, sketched or photographed. Photographs of the people and places that fill the history of Eccleshall have been collected by almost everyone who has lived in Eccleshall, Pat Trevor is one such person and he has kept them largely to himself - until now. He has given us a small selection of his archive which we shall incorporate into the web over the next few months. The site does not claim to record historical facts or to usurp the authority and expertise of the Eccleshall Historical Society or any other learned body. It is simply a collection of old photographs and relics of our parish's interesting past - Eccleshall Past. Hopefully it will contain text, stories and comments on the events that happened in Eccleshall. Every family in Eccleshall (and elsewhere) will have photographs of interest to this web site, please get in touch if you feel you have something to contribute.
